Writing References

I've been an English teacher, a technical writer, editor, and a published author of children's books and many articles. I didn't imagine this as a child, but it's worked out for me! I have a Master of Fine Arts from Full Sail University, and I am still in touch with former professors listed below.

I'm providing a lot of great books that have helped and shaped me as a writer.

A favorite - by a former professor and friend, Jennie Jarvis

Another favorite - by a former professor and friend, Michael Tabb, WGA

Get into the psychology of stories with Lisa Kron

I've now taken some classes by Mary Kroll and Jessica Brody on LinkedIn Learning on topics found in these books.

I faithfully follow author Sarra Cannon on her HeartBreathings brand and YouTube writing channel, and I've taken several of her courses. So amazing! The amount of free content she offers compelled me to purchase her courses. They are all worth 10X more, especially Publish and Thrive.

Publish and Thrive: a mind-blowing, comprehensive course for authors who self-publish and manage their writing as a business

HB 90: a 90 day planning program with quarterly interaction with Sarra and the HB 90 community

Your Path Forward: a course for planning the biggest goals for your life

Whew - there are more, but these are the standouts.
